Neurosensorielle
Neurosensorielle is an adjective used in French to designate phenomena, processes or systems that relate to the nervous system and sensation. In neuroscience, it concerns the reception, transmission and processing of sensory information by the nervous system, from peripheral receptors to cortical areas. The term encompasses all sensory modalities, including vision, hearing, touch, taste, smell, and balance, as well as proprioception and other forms of somatosensation, and how these signals are integrated to form perception and guide behavior.
Key concepts in neurosensorielle include transduction (the conversion of sensory stimuli into neural signals), neural coding
Applications span basic research and clinical practice. Diagnostic methods such as electrophysiology, functional imaging and psychophysics
