Neuroischemia
Neuroischemia is a medical condition characterized by reduced blood flow to the brain, leading to a lack of oxygen and essential nutrients for brain cells. This deprivation can cause damage to neurons and disrupt brain function. Neuroischemia can occur in various forms, with the most common being ischemic stroke, where a blood clot blocks an artery supplying the brain. Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), often referred to as mini-strokes, are temporary episodes of neuroischemia that resolve on their own but can serve as a warning sign for a future stroke.
