Networkis is a term used in network science to denote the integrated state that arises when multiple interdependent networks interact within a shared environment. It highlights cross-layer coupling, feedback loops, and synchronized dynamics that can emerge when physical, digital, and social networks connect. The term is used in theoretical discussions and practical assessments of system-wide behavior, where shocks or interventions in one network affect others and where resilience depends on inter-network interactions as much as on the strength of any single network.

Characteristics of networkis include a multiplex structure with several layers representing different kinds of relations; interdependence of nodes across layers; the potential for cascading failures or rapid diffusion of information; and emergent properties that cannot be understood by examining networks in isolation.
