In many depictions, Nestrians are bipedal or lightly quadrupedal, with a mix of humanoid and equine or cervid traits such as elongated faces, ears, and hide or fur, and sometimes with tails. Depictions range from fully humanoid to more beast-like, and some versions include wings or antlers, though such features are not universal.

Biology and abilities: Nestrians are usually portrayed as intelligent, capable of speech, tool use, and ritual or ceremonial life.
