Nassverlegesystem refers to a method of installing floor coverings where the adhesive is applied directly to the subfloor and the flooring material is then laid into the wet adhesive. This technique is commonly used for vinyl flooring, linoleum, and carpet tiles. The "wet" aspect signifies that the adhesive remains liquid during the installation process, allowing for repositioning of the flooring material before it cures.

The process typically involves preparing the subfloor by ensuring it is clean, dry, and level. Adhesive is then spread evenly onto the subfloor using a trowel with a specific notch size recommended by the flooring manufacturer. The flooring material is then carefully placed into the wet adhesive, working from one edge of the room to the other. Pressure is often applied to ensure good adhesion and to remove any trapped air bubbles.

Advantages of the Nassverlegesystem include the ability to adjust the flooring placement during installation, which can be beneficial for intricate patterns or when working in confined spaces.
