NBCUniversal is an American multinational media and entertainment company owned by Comcast. Formed in 2004 through the merger of NBC (National Broadcasting Company) and Universal Studios, the unit combines a major television network and film studio with diverse entertainment properties. Comcast completed its acquisition of NBCUniversal in 2013, making the company a wholly owned subsidiary and a key content producer within the Comcast corporate structure.

Its portfolio includes broadcast and cable networks, production studios, and digital platforms. Network properties include the NBC broadcast network, CNBC, MSNBC, Telemundo, Universo, USA Network, Bravo, E! and Syfy, along with regional and international channels such as Sky in Europe. The company operates the streaming service Peacock, launched in 2020, and distributes content across traditional and digital platforms globally.

Film and animation are led by Universal Pictures, Focus Features and the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group. The studio owns Illumination and DreamWorks Animation, operating as animation studios within the group. DreamWorks Animation was acquired in 2016, expanding the company’s animation slate alongside Illumination’s ongoing projects.

NBCUniversal's theme parks and experiences arm operates Universal Parks & Resorts, with major parks in Hollywood and Orlando, as well as international locations in Singapore and Beijing, plus resort experiences. The parks division complements the company’s film and television content with live entertainment and branded experiences.

Globally, NBCUniversal serves as a major producer, distributor and marketer of entertainment content across traditional broadcast, cable, streaming and live entertainment. Its integrated structure supports a wide range of media properties, from news and sports to feature films and immersive experiences.
