Müokard

Müokard is a weapon system developed by the Turkish company Roketsan for the Turkish Armed Forces. It is a modified version of the Russian S-400 Triumf air defense system, but is based on Turkish components and technology.

The Müokard system is designed for medium-range air defense, capable of engaging a variety of targets including aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles. It features a phased array radar, which provides high levels of accuracy and speed in target detection and tracking.

The system consists of a headquarters station, several launch units, and a command and control center. The launch units are mounted on 8x8 vehicles, which are transportable and can operate in various environments. Each launch unit contains eight units of the SRSAM, which are solid-fueled missiles equipped with tandem warheads.

Müokard has undergone testing and evaluation by the Turkish military, demonstrating improved performance and capabilities compared to its Russian counterpart. Discussions of the system's development have also led to announcements of potential exports, although details on possible customers remain classified.

Development and purchase of the Müokard system marks an important milestone in Turkey's efforts to reduce its reliance on foreign technology. By combining Turkish research and engineering with Russian hardware and expertise, the Müokard represents an instance of technology transfer in the military sector.
