Månedsprisen

Månedsprisen is a Norwegian literary award that recognizes and rewards outstanding original work in the genre of Scandinavian crime fiction. The award is presented by the Norwegian Book Club and is based on two novels or non-fiction books chosen by the membership. Each nominee is judged on a level of unity in writing style, pace, and a choreographed presentation.

The award has been presented annually since 1985, with the first recipient being Norwegian author Liss Eriksson for his novel Hiob - Delta. The winner is chosen by the membership's vote and the winner of Månedsprisen receives a large book deal with one of Norway's largest publishing houses.
