Morlock
The Morlock is a fictional species of subterranean humanoids from the 1895 novel "The Time Machine" by H.G. Wells. They are described as being physically similar to humans but with a darker skin tone, smaller stature, and a more reptilian appearance. The Morlocks live in a vast underground city, Eloi, which is built on the backs of the Eloi, a race of peaceful, docile humans who are blind and dependent on the Morlocks for their survival. The Morlocks are depicted as being cruel, aggressive, and ruthless, often using the Eloi as a source of food and labor. They are also shown to be technologically advanced, with the ability to create and control machines, and to have a complex social structure and culture. The Morlocks are often used as a symbol of the darker aspects of human nature, and have been the subject of much debate and interpretation since the novel's publication.
