Monteringstid

Monteringstid is the time required to assemble components into a finished product or system, usually measured in person-hours or minutes per unit. The term is common in manufacturing, construction, and service industries. It covers activities such as receiving parts, preparing workstations, aligning components, fastening with screws or bolts, electrical or hydraulic connections, quality checks, and cleanup. It may be estimated per unit or per batch and is often reported separately from procurement, transport, and commissioning.

Estimation methods include time studies, where a worker’s performance is observed to establish a standard time that can be adjusted for conditions. Alternatively, predefined times from established databases or from predefined time standards (such as MTM or MOST) can be used. Historical data, industrial engineering standards, and modular product data sheets may provide baseline monteringstider. In tendering or production planning, the monteringstid is converted to labor cost by multiplying by crew size and wage rates and used to determine lead times and capacity.
