Modelljei

Modelljei is a relatively obscure term used in some Norwegian-speaking design, education, and hobby circles to denote a miniature model or mock-up created to illustrate, test, or present a concept. The word appears as a compound of modell, the Norwegian word for model, and a diminutive suffix that conveys small size or simplicity. Because it is not part of formal technical vocabulary, definitional boundaries vary by context.

In practice, modelljei can refer to physical scale models built from cardboard, plastic, or 3D-printed parts, as well as digital or virtual mock-ups that convey form and function without full engineering detail.
