MitID
MitID is Denmark's national digital identity system used for secure online authentication and access to public-sector services and, in many cases, private-sector services. It enables citizens and businesses to prove their identity online and to log in to government portals and a wide range of online services that require identity verification.
MitID was introduced to replace the earlier NemID. Development was led by the Danish Agency for Digitisation
