Mikrotärinöiden

Mikrotärinöiden, a Finnish term, translates to "micro-tremors" or "micro-earthquakes" in English. These are extremely small seismic events that are often imperceptible to humans and most standard earthquake detection equipment. They occur naturally in the Earth's crust and are characterized by their very low magnitude and high frequency.

The causes of mikrotärinöiden are diverse. They can be related to natural geological processes such as the slow movement of tectonic plates, the expansion and contraction of rocks due to temperature changes, or the flow of underground water and magma.
