MikroFulfillment is a term used to describe a network of micro-fulfillment centers designed to fulfill e-commerce orders from urban, compact facilities. These centers employ automation, compact storage, and proximity to customers to reduce last-mile delivery times and logistics costs. MikroFulfillment facilities are typically much smaller than traditional regional distribution centers, ranging from a few thousand to several tens of thousands of square feet, and are often located in city neighborhoods, retail rooftops, or existing warehouses.
