Mikrofiberklude

Mikrofiberklude, often simply referred to as microfiber cloths, are cleaning cloths made from synthetic fibers, typically a blend of polyester and polyamide (nylon). The key characteristic of microfiber is the extremely fine diameter of its individual fibers, which are significantly thinner than natural fibers like cotton. This fineness allows them to trap and hold dirt, dust, grease, and moisture more effectively.

The structure of microfiber fibers creates a large surface area, enabling them to absorb liquids much more efficiently than traditional cloths. The split nature of the fibers also contributes to their cleaning power, as the tiny gaps created can trap particles. This makes them suitable for a wide range of cleaning tasks, from dusting surfaces to washing cars and cleaning windows.

Mikrofiberklude are often preferred for their ability to clean without the need for harsh chemicals, as their mechanical action is often sufficient. They are also durable and can be washed and reused numerous times, making them an economical and environmentally friendly option compared to disposable cleaning wipes. When washing, it is generally recommended to avoid fabric softeners, as these can clog the fibers and reduce their effectiveness.
