MidSize

Midsize, or mid-sized, is a size category used to describe objects, products, or entities that lie between small and large. In business, midsize firms refer to enterprises larger than small businesses but not as large as large corporations. Definitions differ by region and program. In the United States, there is no single universal threshold; some definitions use employee counts from roughly 100 to several hundred, while others classify by annual revenue. In the European Union, the formal classification defines medium-sized enterprises as having 50 to 249 employees, with micro and small sizes below that, and large above 250.

In automotive terminology, a midsize car is a vehicle size between compact and full-size classes. It typically prioritizes interior space, ride comfort, and efficiency. In the United States, models such as the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry have historically been categorized as midsize; in Europe, the equivalent category is often called the mid-size or D-segment.

Other uses: The term is also applied to non-vehicle contexts, such as furniture, packaging, electronics, and software, to indicate a middle range in dimensions, capacity, or performance.
