Safety and handling procedures follow occupational safety standards, including training for workers, proper personal protective equipment, and emergency response plans.

Regulatory and environmental aspects include compliance with hazardous materials regulations, environmental protection requirements, and reporting. Storage sites often require environmental controls to prevent soil and groundwater contamination, routine inspections, and secure fencing to prevent theft or tampering.
