Metalfilled
Metalfilled is a class of composite materials in which metal powder is dispersed within a binding matrix. In additive manufacturing, metalfilled filaments or resins contain metal particles—such as bronze, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, or other alloys—embedded in a polymer binder. The presence of metal imparts a metallic appearance and higher density to the printed object, while the binder enables processing with standard equipment.
In 3D printing, metalfilled materials are designed for desktop printers that operate on fused deposition modeling
Post-processing methods vary: some workflows debind and sinter the part in a furnace to fuse metal particles,
Applications include artistic and decorative objects, jewelry prototypes, and demonstration pieces, as well as functional parts
