Memóriachipek, often referred to as memory chips or simply memory, are essential semiconductor components that store digital information. They are the building blocks of modern electronics, enabling devices to retain and access data. These chips are fabricated using integrated circuits, where millions or even billions of transistors and other electronic elements are interconnected on a small piece of silicon.

There are two primary categories of memory chips: volatile and non-volatile. Volatile memory, such as Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) and Static Random-Access Memory (SRAM), requires a constant power supply to retain data. When power is removed, the stored information is lost. DRAM is commonly used as the main system memory in computers and other devices due to its high density and relatively low cost, while SRAM is faster but more expensive and is often used for cache memory.

Non-volatile memory, on the other hand, retains its data even when the power is turned off. This category includes Read-Only Memory (ROM), Flash memory, and Solid-State Drives (SSDs). ROM is programmed at the factory and is typically used for firmware that doesn't need to be changed. Flash memory, found in USB drives, memory cards, and SSDs, is rewritable and widely used for storage.
