History: Archaeological evidence shows sustained riverine settlement in the Meloryan heartland from the late Bronze Age, with coastal urban centers emerging in the medieval era. By the 14th century, a council-based governance network coordinated entrepôt towns focused on fishing, timber, and crafts. The modern Meloryan state formed through gradual reforms in the 19th and 20th centuries, incorporating neighboring districts and standardizing administration.
