Mandelloideidae is a family of extinct arthropods belonging to the order Eurypterida. These ancient marine creatures, commonly known as sea scorpions, are part of the subphylum Chelicerata. The fossil record indicates that mandelloideids were present during the Silurian period, a geological era that spanned from approximately 443.8 to 419.2 million years ago.

The defining characteristics of Mandelloideidae include their segmented bodies, a hard exoskeleton, and a pair of large, prehensile appendages at the front of their bodies, likely used for capturing prey.
