MOESIMESIF

MOESIMESIF is a modular, open-source software framework designed to enable the integration and fusion of sensor information across heterogeneous systems. It provides a common runtime for acquiring sensor streams, processing them, and exchanging fused results in real time or offline. The goal is to support scalable, interoperable sensor-information workflows across domains such as robotics, environmental monitoring, and smart infrastructure.

The framework is organized into core modules: a data model and ontology layer, a fusion engine, a communication layer, a plugin/adaptor system, and configuration and security services. The data model defines entities such as sensors, observations, features, and fusion results, and promotes interoperability through mappings to common formats and ontologies. It supports multiple serialization formats (JSON, XML, Protobuf) and can adapt to domain-specific vocabularies via extensions.

The fusion engine provides both generic and specialized processing pipelines. It supports rule-based and probabilistic methods (for example Bayesian inference and evidence combination), time synchronization, track management, and quality assessment. Users can compose fusion pipelines with pluggable modules, enabling experimentation and repeatability.

MOESIMESIF is designed for extensibility and portability. It provides plugin interfaces for sensor drivers, data adapters, and analysis algorithms, with bindings in common languages such as Python and C++. Deployment patterns include on-device processing, edge computing, and cloud-based orchestration. While there is no single official standard, MOESIMESIF-inspired ecosystems emphasize openness, open data formats, and reproducible experiments.
