Luftbehandlingsanlegg

Luftbehandlingsanlegg, often abbreviated as LTA, refers to a system designed to control and improve the quality of indoor air. These systems are commonly found in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The primary functions of an LTA are to heat, cool, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and distribute air within a space.

The core components of a typical luftbehandlingsanlegg include a fan to move air, a heating or cooling coil to regulate temperature, a humidifier or dehumidifier for moisture control, and filters to remove particulate matter such as dust, pollen, and other airborne contaminants. Air is drawn from either the outside or recirculated from inside the building, treated through these components, and then supplied to the occupied spaces. Exhaust air is then removed.

Modern LTAs often incorporate sophisticated controls to maintain desired indoor environmental conditions efficiently. Energy recovery systems can also be integrated to pre-condition incoming fresh air using the energy from the outgoing exhaust air, thus reducing heating and cooling loads. The design and complexity of an LTA vary significantly depending on the building's purpose, size, occupancy, and specific air quality requirements.
