Llojve

Llojve is a fictional constructed language (conlang) created for worldbuilding and storytelling. It exists within a speculative setting rather than in the real world, and it is studied by fans who build dictionaries, grammars, and learning materials as part of the surrounding lore. The name Llojve is used exclusively for the language and the people who speak it in the imagined society. Designers emphasize consistent phonology and morphology to support creative use without requiring extensive memorization.

Its phonology centers on a small, open vowel system and a modest consonant inventory, including p, t, k, m, n, l, r, s, and v. Syllables are typically CV or CVC with limited clusters, and stress is phonemic, often falling on the penultimate syllable. The writing system in-universe is a distinct script named llojvian, though texts are commonly rendered in a Latin transliteration for accessibility. The script features diacritics that mark vowel quality and vowel length.

Grammar follows a subject–object–verb order and relies on agglutinative morphology. Nouns take case suffixes to indicate roles such as subject, object, and relative possession. Verbs encode tense, aspect, and mood through affixes and clitics. Pronouns distinguish inclusive and exclusive first person plural, and numerals show a base-10 system with support for formed ordinal adjectives.

Core vocabulary covers everyday concepts and cultural terms within the fictional society. Borrowings from neighboring languages within the world are common, creating a varied lexicon. Llojve is used in ceremonial speech, poetry, and informal conversation by characters in the narrative, and it has inspired a community of enthusiasts who share learning resources.
