Litasamsetning

Litasamsetning is the arrangement and selection of colors used in a visual work or design. It involves choosing which hues to include, how they relate to one another, and how they interact under different viewing conditions to create mood, emphasis, and legibility.

The theory behind litasamsetning centers on color relationships. The color wheel groups colors into categories such as primary, secondary and tertiary hues, and distinguishes warm colors from cool colors. Common color schemes include analogous (colors next to each other on the wheel), complementary (colors opposite each other), triadic (three evenly spaced colors), tetradic (two complementary pairs), and monochromatic schemes (variations of a single hue). Each scheme offers different possibilities for harmony, contrast, and visual impact.
