Ladyhawke
Ladyhawke is a 1985 American/Italian fantasy film directed by Richard Donner and starring Matthew Broderick, Rutger Hauer, and Michelle Pfeiffer. The story follows Philippe Gaston, a young thief who is the only person who can see both lovers, Navarre and Isabeau, in their cursed states. Navarre, a knight, is transformed into a wolf by day, while Isabeau, a lady, becomes a hawk by night, with only a brief period of twilight when they can appear as humans together. The curse was placed upon them by the Bishop of Aquila, who is jealous of their love. Philippe is initially captured by the Bishop's men but escapes and seeks out Navarre and Isabeau. He learns of their plight and the bishop's malevolent intentions.
The film is known for its romantic fantasy elements and the innovative use of special effects to
