LTEV2X

LTEV2X stands for Long-Term Evolution Vehicle-to-Everything. It is a communication technology that enables vehicles to communicate with other vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians, and the network. This technology is based on cellular standards and is designed to improve road safety, traffic efficiency, and enable autonomous driving.

LTEV2X operates in two main modes. The first is direct communication, known as PC5 or Sidelink, which allows devices to communicate directly with each other without needing a cellular network. This is crucial for real-time safety applications where low latency is essential. The second mode is network-based communication, known as Uu, which uses the traditional cellular network for communication with the cloud or other vehicles that are not in direct range.

The benefits of LTEV2X include enhanced situational awareness for drivers and autonomous systems. Vehicles can be alerted to hazards such as sudden braking, approaching emergency vehicles, or vehicles in blind spots.
