LCvärähtelijä
LCvärähtelijä is a Finnish term that translates to "LC oscillator" in English. It refers to an electronic circuit consisting of an inductor (L) and a capacitor (C) connected together. This arrangement allows the circuit to oscillate at a specific resonant frequency. When a voltage is applied to the capacitor, it stores energy in an electric field. As the capacitor discharges, the current flows through the inductor, storing energy in a magnetic field. This process then reverses, with the inductor's magnetic field collapsing and re-charging the capacitor, causing the energy to shuttle back and forth between the inductor and capacitor.
The frequency at which this oscillation occurs is determined by the values of the inductance and capacitance.
