Köögisaared
Köögisaared, meaning "kitchen islands" in Estonian, refers to the archipelago in the western part of Estonia, located in the Baltic Sea. This group of islands is part of the Väike-Eesti (Little Estonia) region and is known for its unique natural landscape and historical significance. The islands are characterized by their relatively low elevation, often featuring rocky shores and sparse vegetation. Historically, these islands played a role in fishing and maritime activities, with small communities often relying on the sea for their livelihood.
The Köögisaared are not a single, large landmass but rather a collection of smaller islets and skerries.
