Kõrgejõustik

Kõrgejõustik, more commonly known as heptathlon in English, is a combined track and field event in which a female athlete competes in seven different disciplines over two consecutive days. It is the women's equivalent of the decathlon, which is contested by men. The heptathlon is a test of both speed and endurance, as well as strength and technical skill.

The seven events of the heptathlon are contested in a specific order. On the first day, athletes compete in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 200 meters. The second day features the long jump, javelin throw, and 800 meters. Points are awarded for each event based on performance, with a cumulative score determining the winner.
