Kylmägalvanoinnin
Kylmägalvanointi, known in English as cold galvanizing, is a process used to apply a zinc coating to metal surfaces. Unlike hot-dip galvanizing, which involves immersing the entire object in molten zinc, cold galvanizing is typically applied at ambient temperatures. This is often achieved through the use of zinc-rich paints or coatings that contain a high percentage of zinc dust. When these coatings are applied to a prepared steel surface, they can provide a sacrificial layer of protection. This means that if the coating is scratched or damaged, the zinc will corrode preferentially, sacrificing itself to protect the underlying steel from rust.
The primary benefit of cold galvanizing is its simplicity and suitability for on-site applications where hot-dip
