Kwantiatieve is a Dutch adjective meaning "quantitative" or "relating to quantities". It is used in academic and professional contexts to describe analyses, studies, or approaches that focus on measurable data rather than qualitative observations. The word is derived from the Latin root quantus, meaning "how much", combined with the Dutch suffix -iatief to form an adjective.

In the natural sciences, kwantiatieve methods are employed to gather numeric measurements, such as the number of cells in a sample or the concentration of a chemical compound. In social sciences, kwantiatieve research is distinguished from kwantitatief, which is sometimes used interchangeably though the latter can refer more generally to any numerical study.
