Kuumaliitos

Kuumaliitos is a Finnish term referring to a type of joint or connection made by heating components to their melting point and then allowing them to fuse together. This process is commonly used in metallurgy and manufacturing to create strong and permanent bonds between similar or dissimilar metals.

The fundamental principle behind kuumaliitos involves raising the temperature of the base materials to a point where they become molten or plastic. Once in this state, the surfaces are brought into contact, and upon cooling, they solidify to form a continuous and integrated structure. This can be achieved through various methods, including welding, brazing, and soldering, each differing in the specific temperatures and filler materials used.
