Kunshan

Kunshan is a county-level city in Jiangsu Province, China. It is administered by the prefecture-level city of Suzhou and lies in the southern part of the Yangtze River Delta, near Shanghai. The area has a long history as part of the Wu cultural region and developed rapidly as an industrial center in the late 20th century, evolving into one of Jiangsu’s major manufacturing cities.

Economy is centered on manufacturing and export-oriented industries. Key sectors include electronics and information technology, automotive components, machinery, and solar-energy equipment.
