Kulturlag
Kulturlag is a term used in sociology and cultural studies to describe distinct layers or strata within a society's culture. These layers are often defined by differences in social class, education, profession, ethnicity, age, or other social markers. Each kulturlag may possess its own unique set of values, beliefs, norms, customs, and aesthetic preferences. For instance, a society might exhibit a 'high culture' associated with elite groups and formal institutions, contrasted with a 'popular culture' or 'mass culture' enjoyed by a broader segment of the population.
These cultural layers are not necessarily static; they can interact, influence each other, and evolve over time.
