Kristallite is a fictional mineral frequently described in science fiction and speculative geology. It is depicted as a highly transparent crystal with exceptional clarity and a distinct luminescent glow, often central to plots involving advanced materials or energy technology.

Composition and structure: In popular depictions, Kristallite is a silicate mineral built from a framework of SiO4 tetrahedra doped with trace metals such as iron, manganese, or titanium. Dopants are said to produce vivid colors and a characteristic fluorescence under ultraviolet light. The crystal is commonly described as belonging to a hexagonal or trigonal system, with prismatic or tabular crystals. Reported physical properties in fiction place its hardness at 6–7 on the Mohs scale and its density around 3.2–3.6 g/cm3, with a refractive index near 1.60–1.75.
