Koolieelseids
Koolieelseids are an extinct group of early marine invertebrates known from fossil specimens recovered from the Koolie Formation in the southern coastal region. The name derives from Koolie, the locality of the first fossils, combined with the -ids suffix commonly used for extinct clades. Koolieelseidae was established in a formal revision to classify these fossils, with Koolieelsea designated as the type genus. The group currently includes a small number of described species, though material is fragmentary.
