Kontiolahti

Kontiolahti is a municipality in Eastern Finland, located in the North Karelia region. It lies approximately 20 kilometers north of the city of Joensuu, the regional capital. The municipality is situated on the western shore of Lake Höytiäinen, which is the sixth largest lake in Finland. Kontiolahti's landscape is characterized by forests, lakes, and gentle hills, typical of the Finnish Lakeland.
