Komponentinkähminen

Komponentinkähminen is a Finnish term that translates roughly to "component grabbing" or "component snatching." It refers to the practice of taking or reusing electronic components from discarded or obsolete electronic devices for use in new projects or repairs. This can involve salvaging integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, connectors, and other parts from old computers, televisions, radios, or other electronic equipment.

The motivation behind komponentinkähminen can vary. For hobbyists and makers, it's often a cost-effective way to acquire components for electronics projects, especially for prototyping or learning.
