Kolimaatsed

Kolimaatsed, also known as *kolimats* or *kolimatsed* (plural), are traditional Estonian handmade wooden shoes, primarily associated with the rural regions of southern Estonia, particularly the Saaremaa and Hiiumaa islands. These shoes are crafted from birch bark, willow, or other flexible woods, and are known for their durability and simplicity.

The construction of kolimaatsed involves weaving strips of wood or bark together to form a sturdy, water-resistant sole.
