Koearvott

Koearvott is a fictional constitutional republic located in the northern archipelago of Valoria. It comprises five principal islands and numerous islets, with a jagged coastline, pine forests, and fertile volcanic soil in some zones. The capital and largest city is Verin, situated on Verin Bay. The latest estimates put the population around 1.2 million. The official language is Koari, while English is widely used in government and commerce.

The country is a parliamentary republic. The president is the ceremonial head of state; the prime minister is the head of government and is chosen by the National Assembly, which has 120 seats elected by proportional representation. The judiciary is independent. Elections occur every four years, and multi-party competition is common.

Koearvott has a diversified economy anchored in port logistics, fisheries, and tourism. Secondary sectors include light manufacturing, ship repair, and renewable energy projects, notably offshore wind and tidal power. The Koar is the currency; the central bank is Koebank. The country maintains several free-trade zones and a well-developed maritime infrastructure.

Koearvott's archipelago features temperate maritime climate, rugged coastlines, mangroves in bays, and protected wetlands. Biodiversity is a concern; conservation areas cover a significant portion of the islands.

Historical seafaring communities formed the early political center. A peaceful unification created the modern Koearvott state in the 19th century, with the current constitution adopted in 1884 and subsequent reforms expanding civil rights. Education is compulsory through secondary level; literacy is high. Cultural life centers on maritime festivals, craftwork, and seafood cuisine.
