Kockázatokmenedzsment, or risk management in English, is the process of identifying, analyzing, and responding to risk. It involves the coordination of activities and practices to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities. The goal of risk management is to improve the organization's overall position by understanding the audience, identifying threats and taking action.

The risk management process typically involves several key steps. First, risks are identified, which can be done through various methods such as brainstorming, SWOT analysis, or risk registers. Once identified, risks are analyzed to understand their potential impact and likelihood. This analysis helps prioritize risks based on their severity and urgency. After analysis, risks are evaluated and responses are developed. These responses can range from risk avoidance, where the risk is completely eliminated, to risk acceptance, where the risk is acknowledged but not actively managed. Other strategies include risk mitigation, where the impact or likelihood of the risk is reduced, and risk transfer, where the risk is passed on to another party.

Effective risk management requires a proactive approach and continuous monitoring. It is an ongoing process that should be integrated into an organization's overall strategy and operations.
