Klórszag

Klórszag refers to the distinctive odor associated with chlorine. This smell is commonly encountered in environments where chlorine or chlorine-containing compounds are present, such as swimming pools, laundromats, or areas where cleaning products are used. The odor is a result of chlorine gas, a greenish-yellow gas with a pungent and irritating smell. It is heavier than air and can be detected by the human nose at very low concentrations.

The smell of chlorine is often associated with its disinfectant properties. Chlorine is widely used in water treatment to kill bacteria and other microorganisms, making tap water safe to drink and swimming pool water sanitary.
