Keretegyezmények

Keretegyezmények, often translated as framework agreements, are a type of contract that establishes the terms and conditions for future agreements. They are typically used in public procurement and commercial transactions when the precise details of the goods or services to be procured are not yet fully known or when a long-term relationship with a supplier is intended. The framework agreement itself does not obligate either party to enter into specific contracts; rather, it sets out the overarching rules and conditions under which such contracts may be awarded.

These agreements are characterized by their duration, which can extend over several years. During this period, contracting authorities or buyers can call off specific goods or services as needed, based on the pre-defined terms and conditions within the framework. This often involves a simplified tendering process for individual contracts, as many of the selection criteria and pricing mechanisms have already been agreed upon. Keretegyezmények aim to streamline procurement processes, promote competition, and ensure value for money by allowing for economies of scale and predictable purchasing. They are a flexible tool for managing ongoing needs and fostering stable supplier relationships.
