Kenninji
Kenninji is a temple located in the Chūō ward of Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the oldest Zen temples in the country and home to the famous Ichiyo Art Museum. The temple's history dates back to 1202, when the monk Evam sired the temple as Myohoin. However, it was later destroyed during the fires that swept through the city between 1336 and 1338. The temple was rebuilt around 1400, and it continued to thrive during the Edo period, thanks to the patronage of the Hosokawa and Miyoshi clans.
