Kellimpulsside, also known as clock pulses, are fundamental in digital electronics and computer systems. They are regular electrical signals that alternate between a high and low voltage state, creating a series of distinct pulses. These pulses are generated by an oscillator circuit and are essential for synchronizing the operations of various components within a digital system.

The primary function of clock pulses is to provide a timing reference. All sequential logic operations, such as data transfers and state changes in flip-flops, occur in step with the clock signal. This synchronization ensures that different parts of a circuit operate in a coordinated manner, preventing race conditions and data corruption. The speed of the clock, measured in Hertz (Hz), determines how many operations can be performed per second. A higher clock frequency generally leads to faster processing speeds.

Different parts of a digital system might have their own clock signals, but often they are derived from a central clock source. This is achieved through clock distribution networks, which ensure that the clock signal reaches all relevant components with minimal delay and distortion. In complex systems like microprocessors, the clock signal is crucial for orchestrating the execution of instructions, managing data flow, and controlling the timing of internal operations. Without clock pulses, the predictable and synchronized behavior of digital circuits would not be possible.
