Katupäällysteillä

Katupäällysteillä, commonly referred to as road surfacing or pavement, are the materials used to create the driving surface of roads, streets, and other paved areas. Other less common katupäällysteillä include interlocking concrete pavers, cobblestones, and gravel. Pavers offer aesthetic appeal and are often used in pedestrian areas or decorative driveways. Cobblestones, historically significant, are less common in modern infrastructure due to their uneven surface. Gravel is a simpler and more economical option, typically used for temporary roads, access paths, or rural routes where high traffic volumes are not expected. The choice of katupäällyste depends on factors such as expected traffic volume, climate, budget, and desired lifespan.
