Katsomot
Katsomot are the stands or spectator seating areas in venues such as stadiums, arenas, theatres, and cinemas. The term comes from Finnish and refers to places designed for viewing events. In sports and entertainment facilities, katsomot are typically configured as tiered or bowl-shaped seating to provide clear sightlines to the field, stage, or screen. They may be permanent structures made of concrete and metal seating, or smaller, temporary or portable sections. Some venues include standing terraces, referred to in Finnish as seisomakatsomo, in addition to traditional seated areas.
