Kasvutekijähoidot, also known as growth factor treatments, are a type of regenerative medicine that utilizes the body's own natural growth factors to promote healing and tissue repair. These treatments are derived from a patient's own blood, making them autologous and minimizing the risk of rejection or allergic reactions.

The process typically begins with a blood draw from the patient. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge, which separates it into its various components, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets and their associated growth factors, is then collected. This concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is subsequently injected into the area requiring treatment.
