Kareena

Kareena Kapoor Khan is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi cinema. Born on 21 September 1980, she is the elder daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and the sister of Karisma Kapoor. She studied in Mumbai at Mithibai College and later pursued acting training, developing a career that spans film, television, and endorsements.

She made her screen debut in Refugee (2000) opposite Abhishek Bachchan, which earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut. She gained wide recognition with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), a major commercial success. Her subsequent work included a mix of big-budget entertainers and smaller projects. Jab We Met (2007) brought her critical praise and established her as a leading Bollywood actress. The ensemble film 3 Idiots (2009), in which she played Pia, became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time and expanded her international visibility.

Kareena has continued to work across a range of genres. Notable titles include Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Angrezi Medium (2020), as well as appearances in dramas such as Talaash (2012). Personal life and public engagement: In 2012 she married actor Saif Ali Khan, with whom she has two children, a son Taimur (born 2016) and a son Jeh (born 2021). She has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for child rights since 2014 and has supported various charitable campaigns and causes related to health and education.
